Remove infringing listings from Etsy

Etsy's handmade and custom items make it one of the hardest places to enforce well. Some listings copy your logos and designs. Others are original work. We tell them apart.

How counterfeits show up on Etsy

Logos on handmade goods

Shirts, mugs, stickers and decorations with your logos and characters, made to order and listed under keywords and tags that shift often.

Fan art next to copies

Original fan art sits next to straight copies of your designs. Reporting the wrong one can hurt your standing with the platform and with fans.

Personalized items

Custom listings may only show your design in a preview image. Image search finds them even when the title doesn't mention you.

Reporting on Etsy yourself

Etsy offers a Reporting Portal for brands that file regularly, and an IP infringement report form for one-off cases. You must be the rights owner or authorized to act for them, and each listing has to be reported individually.

We handle it for you: we find the listings, verify every one and file the reports through Etsy's own rights-owner channel.

How we handle it

The same three checks we run on all 31 platforms we monitor. Nothing is reported until it has passed all three.

Step 1

Detect

Targeted multi-term queries, broad keyword sweeps and image search, so listings that never mention your brand are still found. Your authorized sellers go on an exclusion list before the first scan.

Step 2

Recognize

Our image recognition algorithm, Bullseye, compares every product image against your logos, designs and product images. It judges the images, not the title.

Step 3

Verify

Our review team manually checks every remaining link before it's reported. Uncertain items are held. No bulk or sampled approvals.

Common questions

Will you report fan art?

Fan art that doesn't match your designs is never reported. That protects your licensees, your fans' goodwill and your standing with Etsy.

Can you find listings that only use my design in the photo?

Yes. Image search and our image recognition algorithm match your logos, designs and product images, whatever the title says.

Do you cover print-on-demand sites too?

Yes, 10 of them, including Redbubble, TeePublic, Zazzle and Society6. See Redbubble.
